| Description: | The prayers in our prayer book were written by real people. Over time, their words were shaped and crafted into the prayers that we say today. Some wrote poetry, some wrote simple prose, all of which attempted to put into words the longings of their hearts. In this bi-weekly workshop, we will learn about the prayers in our prayer book, and use that learning as a jumping off point for crafting our own prayers, prayers that are more reflective of our life experience and language today. This workshop will be co-led by Rabbi Zari and Fredda Jaffe, who is a gifted poet and teacher of poetry. Free. Register by e-mail to rsvp@khnseattle.org.
