Shavuot Celebration! Join us Sunday June 8th, 7p.m. as we celebrate the holiday of Shavuot. It marks the beginning of the grain harvest in ancient Israel, and our experience of the Divine through the giving of the Torah at Sinai. We'll have a service, potluck dinner, and lively, fascinating study sessions. While the tradition is to study all night, we'll end well before that. Please bring a dairy or pareve dish for the potluck. (Pareve means neither dairy nor meat products.) . For more info please contact Suzanne Engelberg.
It's Time for TA'AM!
The Kol HaNeshamah Fundraising Committee once again invites you to participate in our unique fundraiser, TA'AM: A Taste of Kol HaNeshamah, scheduled for Summer 2008.
TA'AM not only raises funds for Kol HaNeshamah, but also promotes KHN community by bringing together members as hosts and guests. Hosts sponsor meals, underwriting all costs, and other KHN members buy tickets from KHN to attend these dinners. If you are interested in hosting a TA'AM dinner or have questions, please contact by email or phone: Jacki Bree, 206-923-1891 or Lois Charles, 206-257-0891.
A brochure with more information and containing a host form will be available at Shabbat services.
The Membership Committee would like to thank all those hosts who opened their home last Friday for our second Shabbat in the Home. We welcome feedback from all who participated to Mark Mendelow. We also welcome hearing from folks who weren't able to participate this time around but are interested in participating in the future. Watch this space for future details.
